Blok TL-valve

The BLOK TL-Valve is a fully self-acting temperature-controlled control valve. This regulates the temperature of a pipe or storage tank by means of the gradual switching on and off of a heating medium, for example steam. This prevents wasted energy and damage to process fluids due to freezing of pipes and fittings.

The purpose of winter tracing is to heat a product when the temperature becomes too low. This is often done manually or the tracing is on for too long. This can cause energy waste or damage. The damage caused by the freezing of pipes and fittings is then many times greater than the price of the Blok TL valve. The Blok TL valve also ensures that the tracing is switched on gradually. This is done manually quite abruptly.

Operation

If the ambient temperature falls below the set value, the wax shrinks in the capsule. This allows the spring to press in on the wax. this shift causes the valve to open. If the temperature rises above the set range, the wax expands and closes the valve.
