EUROTRAP STAINLESS STEEL INVERTED BUCKET STEAM TRAP FOR HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION
Description of the working principle:

The inverted bucket steam trap is an automatic shut-off valve that opens for condensate and closes for steam. The steam trap works on the difference in specific weight between steam and water. Steam entering the trap causes the inverted bucket to float, closing the valve. Condensate entering the trap, or condensing steam present in the trap, causes the inverted bucket to sink, opening the valve. Air, carbon dioxide and other non-condensable gases are continuously vented at steam temperature through a small opening in the top of the bucket. In order to open the valve against the prevailing pressure difference, the inverted bucket steam trap is equipped with a lever mechanism. This mechanism brings the right balance in the play of forces caused by valve size, differential pressure and bucket weight. The entire mechanism is located at the top of the trap, preventing dirt from collecting between valve and seat. Small dirt particles are discharged along with the condensate every drain cycle. Inverted bucket steam traps are resistant to water hammer.
